Acre Calculator

Calculate the acreage of any rectangular plot from its length and width in feet.

How to Calculate Acreage

For a rectangular plot:

Acres = (Length ft x Width ft) / 43,560

Calculating Irregular Plots

Triangular plots: Acres = (Base ft x Height ft / 2) / 43,560. Measure the base and the perpendicular height from the base to the opposite corner.

Circular plots: Acres = (3.14159 x Radius ft x Radius ft) / 43,560. Measure from the centre to the edge to get the radius.

Irregular shapes: Break the plot into rectangles and triangles, calculate each section separately, then add them together. Or use Google Maps: right-click, select "Measure distance," and trace the boundary.
